Hey there, I haven't been following the software's updates lately until now that my subscription expired and I am about to re-new it. Have the prices been changed?
Same here, very disappointed.. I guess only professional users who make money out of it will be able to afford this app moving forward, otherwise, it becomes $10 per song (which is insane) for people like me using it once a while for just a hobby.. I had to stop my subscription and I wonder if the price hike will be worth or not, considering some of the previous users discontinuing the subscription.
@Bahar Ozveren I get that the developers need to make money, but that’s crazy increase- With inflation between 15 and 30% all across-the-board everywhere- maybe they could follow suit instead of 450% —-
@Luis Alfredo Rodriguez Perez Thank you Luis, I do understand that the price increase may be difficult for international users. I'll try to start making a list of countries that have disproportionate currency rates and see if it might be possible to charge a lower price there.
Thank you for keeping us in mind, in the Colombian case, our currency has a devaluation of 43.5% according to the BigMac index report (https://www.larepublica.co/globoeconomia/peso-colombiano-la-moneda-mas-devaluada-de-latinoamerica-segun-indice-big-mac-3298414#:~:text=La%20revista%20de%20The%20Economist,m%C3%A1s%20devaluada%20en%20la%20regi%C3%B3n.). Your application is very important for my work as an educator and I want to support you permanently with my annual subscription, I want to share some of my work on my YouTube channel, a hug! https://youtu.be/G9OrCthgHpM
@visualmusicdesign Would be great if you could also decrease the price for turkish users, 100$ equals roughly to 1.6k₺ which is just too much. I had gotten the yearly subscription last year and probably won't purchase it again this time.
Yes, they have been - an email was sent at the beginning of March explaining the change on April 1st.
Here are the reasons for the price change:
1. $10 a month is what SeeMusic's main competitor charges. $10 a month is generally the base market rate for highly specialized, niche software used by content creators at a high level.
2. SeeMusic is highly specialized software, with a small user base. I had hoped that the low subscription prices would result in a larger user base for the app and democratic access for all, but unfortunately, it simply isn't sustainable to continue developing the app with the low subscription prices with the relatively low number of users that need this software.
3. I've received many emails from successful content creators suggesting that I charge more for subscriptions. For most of the users using the app regularly for YouTube channels, the time and effort they save using the app is worth at least $10 a month.
4. The app will remain free to use with the watermark.
I hope that you’ll be able to continue supporting the app at the new prices, but understand if that would no longer be possible.
i would buy it for $100 permanently but not for just 1 year - it is very expensive
unfortunately I will have to switch to a watermarked version or a regular synthesia

So disappointed by this. I and many others, Simply cant afford it. it would be interesting to see how many of your users will continue that can.
What would be the price of the annual subscription with the April price update?
Sad to say but i can only afford the $10 a month.
