Mike Ellis, the property's resident manager, told me this when we first met at the Spence one morning: "I imagine drift hunters that Gleneagles Townhouse is the younger sister that left the nation, went to New York City, did some traveling, and then moved back." Ellis, who formerly worked at London's Soho House, hopes that the Townhouse will draw a varied clientele.
