I have a behringer UCA222 interface. When I open seemusic, it detects this device and allows me to select it as the source of audio input, but then when I create a particle video and run it, there is no sound, even though the bars appear correctly.

The audio input would only work for recording - if you enable audio recording, you can record audio from that interface.
The audio input is not intended for real-time playback of that audio input.
