The Story Behind the App
SeeMusic® was created by Peter Shannon, a Los Angeles-based classical pianist and software developer.

While building his own YouTube channel, Peter wanted to create piano videos with synchronized particles and lighting effects. At the time, there was no software designed specifically for musicians who wanted modern, visually engaging performance videos without learning professional plugins or specialized software. So he built it himself.

What began as a personal tool gradually evolved into a full application. Over time, the project expanded into a cross-platform app used by creators, teachers, and performers worldwide.

How SeeMusic Works
SeeMusic exists to make high-quality piano video production accessible to any musician — from students sharing practice progress to professional performers building an audience online.

The app connects to MIDI keyboards and instruments, records synchronized audio and MIDI, and renders high-quality visualizations that match every note you play. Creators can quickly generate videos using built-in style presets, or customize visual behavior in detail to match their personal branding.
